What better way to celebrate my favorite season than to paint some watercolor apples? I’ve been going apple picking every year for the past several years. Sure it’s way more expensive to get your apples this way. But it’s more about being with friends and family. And enjoying time together.
With the abundance of apples, I like to make apple pies and cider! Got any good recipes for me? Leave them in the comments!

TIP: Vary the dark and light areas of your apples. Since it’s difficult to capture the 3-D nature with such a loose style, you want to give that effect by varying the values of your colors.

The best part about painting and illustrating like this is that you can use them to digitize your paintings later!
Check out my Skillshare class on that!

I also like illustrating the accompanying components like leaves and branches.

Finally, use a smaller brush to add fine details like the seeds and stems.
