Card #1: Simple Floral Arrangement

For this first card, we’re painting a simple yet stunning floral arrangement. My card size is about 4×6 inches, but you can adjust as needed.
Steps:
- Place a small strip of washi tape in the center to create a clean edge for your flowers.
- With a green colored pencil, draw a few slightly squiggly vertical lines for the stems. Using a round size 6 brush, start with a bright rose watercolor shade, painting flowers with six petals each. Leave some space in the middle for details.

- Mix bright rose with yellow for a dusty pink hue, and vary the colors for a natural look.
- Once dry, add smaller flowers with watercolors.
- Use a terra verte shade for leaves and a warm brown for flower centers. You can also use Caran D’Ache Neo Color II pastels for extra texture.
- Optionally, outline petals with pastels or colored pencils for added depth.

- Finish with a light splatter effect and let dry completely.
- Using a Pentel brush pen, write “Happy Mother’s Day” at the bottom in brush calligraphy.

Card #2: Charming Teacups
This second card features two teacups—a sweet and cozy design perfect for any tea-loving mom!

Steps:
- Sketch two teacups using a drafting pencil.
- Lighten your sketch lines with a kneaded eraser so they blend seamlessly with the paint.

- Paint the first teacup a soft pink using a diluted bright rose color.
- The second teacup will be a cheerful yellow using cadmium yellow light. *You can also choose any colors that you like!

- Let the base layer dry, then add details:
- A blue handle on the yellow teacup.
- Polka dots on the pink cup using wax pastels or colored pencils.
- Floral designs on the yellow cup using a mix of orange and blue.

- Add shading with colored pencils or watercolors for depth.
- Use a (very!) diluted Payne’s gray to create soft shadows beneath the cups.
- Write the phrase “Mom, you are my best-tea” in calligraphy or print.

This card is completely customizable—try different patterns, colors, or even add a little message on the cup itself!

Card #3: Sweet Strawberries
For our last card, we’re painting juicy strawberries! This design is fresh, vibrant, and super fun.

Steps:
- Secure your paper with washi tape for a clean border.
- Use Caran D’Ache wax pastels to sketch out strawberries and activate them with a damp brush.

- Add additional strawberries with watercolors, layering for texture.
- Paint a few sliced strawberries by leaving a white center outlined with red.

- Fill in empty spaces with vine-like stems.
- Write “to the berry best mom” with a Micron pen.
- Once dry, enhance details with colored pencils.
- Use a white gel pen to draw seeds for contrast.
