I’ve been using my Lukas Aquarell 1862 Watercolors for over a year and have been loving it!
My first set was the palette with 24 colors. I love these paints because they’re artist quality at affordable prices. I’ve used a few different brands in the past: Winsor & Newton, Grumbacher, Master’s Touch, and a few tubes from others. But these definitely stand out when you consider quality and price.
I was recently sent the 48-color set from Jerry’s Artarama, and couldn’t wait to try all of the new colors. Don’t they all look so pretty!

- Lift test
The lift test is something new I tried for this swatch chart. I’ve never done that before, but I’ve noticed that over the years, I’ve had to lift for one reason or another. Maybe I was painting a sky, maybe I made a mistake. A lift test will show you definitively how staining the color is.
I also did a quick painting of roses to show you how they look in real life!

P.S. Apologies for the inconsistency in lighting. I like to film sometimes during the day and leave my curtains open, so that’s the reason for the inconsistency.
